Fancy Farm Golden Archers

This was the first year for the Fancy Farm Golden Archers. The team was made up 19 4th-6th graders. We also participated in the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) Regional tournament in February. Although, no one qualified for State, every archer improved from the first day of practice. My motto this year was "We get to the point!"

Class All-stars!

6th grade were the class All-stars! To reward their behavior, they took a field trip to the Mayfield YMCA and got to go swimming! Way to go 6th grade!

What's happening in physical education?

We recently held our annual Jump Rope for Heart event at Fancy Farm. Students were encouraged to wear red in support of National Red Day. Students were taught the importance of having a healthy heart and discussed the different ways one can have a healthy heart. During physical education, students were shown a DVD about the importance of participating in the Jump Rope for Heart and they rotated through several different jumping stations. They are on their way to having a healthy heart!

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back Gophers and Cubs from fall break. Hopefully everyone had a restful and fun break and ready to get back to work!

*Class All-Stars*

I am again going to reward two classes at the end of this school year to either a SPLASH PARTY (Kn-3rd) or a trip to the local YMCA for a swim party.

The way this works, is as each class enters the gym for class, they are awarded 5 points. A point will be taken away for each infraction of the following class rules.

*Self-control

*Tennis shoes

*Actice listening

*Respect/responsibility

*Sportsmanship

The two classes that accumulate the most points by spring break will be awarded either the SPLASH PARTY or go to the YMCA. The SPLASH PARTY will consist of water games and they will be getting wet! Throughout the school year, I will keep you informed of which class is leading.

Last year's winning classes at Cuba were Mrs. Mounger. At Fancy Farm, they were Mrs. Marler's and Mrs. Kennomore. So, be on your best behavior and help your class win this year!!
